Residential and Commercial Recycling Guidelines

Items That May Be Recycled at Drop Off Locations in Your County:

  • Propane tanks- can be returned to the place of purchase.
  • Motor oil bottles
  • Flourescent light bulbs-special county programs
  • Latex paint cans- cleaned out-some drop off locations
  • Clothing and other textiles- best to donate
  • Electronics- can not go in trash- proper recycling
  • Small Appliances
  • Large Appliances
  • Tires- Drop off locations, usually a fee
  • Yard Waste- most drop off locations accept for free
  • Used motor oil and antifreeze- hazardous drop off days
  • Ashes- some drop off locations, must be cold
  • Insulin Needles- sharps programs available- most counties
  • 5 gallon pails
  • Batteries- rechargable, wet cell, dry cell
  • Plastic shopping bags- most supermarkets accept these
